16 Blocks

I got bored a couple of weeks ago and went to see "16 Blocks". What can I say, I'm a sucker for Bruce Willis movies.

The premise of the movie is that Willis' character, Jack Mosley, is a tired NYPD Detective, who at one point was respected but is now drinking on duty and getting the shit jobs from his boss. Now all he has to do is take a prisoner, Mos Def's Eddie Bunker, sixteen blocks to the courthouse to testify before the grand jury. No problem, right? Let's just say things get a little out of control and the two on them end up running all over NYC trying to figure out how to get out of this mess.

Richard Donner does a wonderful job of establishing the pacing and tone of the movie. The characters are well thought out and Willis plays the tired cop well. Def does a wonderful job as the quick talking Bunker. I love the little quiz Bunker keeps asking people and Willis answer at the end.

The movie was enjoyable, I liked it.
